We put our best efforts to achieve the finest care with the reasonable cost to our patients, we ask for 30% of total surgery fee as an advance payment when we schedule your surgery.

Scheduling Surgery

  • We will schedule your first time appointment as promptly as possible.
  • Your surgery is usually scheduled when you visit our clinic first time. However Dr. Abukawa carefully evaluates your indication for surgical care and discuss with you about possible procedures.
  • Every Monday is open for orthognathic surgery case.
  • You will be admitted to clinic on the day of your operation, usually 8:30 AM.
  • Patients are expected stay our clinic one night for single jaw case, 2 nights for double jaw case.
  • Please note that POST-operative orthodontics is required regardless the type of corrective jaw surgery of procedure except for the genioplasty. Therefore most of you need to visit an orthodontic office prior to your surgery.

General Anesthesia & Postoperative care

Our Japanese board certified anesthesiologist takes care of nasotracheal intubation for orthognathic cases. Since airway management is especially important for orthognathic patients, the video laryngoscopy is used all the time. Our team pay special attention to your safety and prepare for unexpected.

Post-operative orthodontics

Orthognathic surgery is usually done in conjunction with orthodontics. This is the case for most patients having their bite corrected. Also patients treated for sleep apnea benefit from orthodontics after their surgery. Orthodontic fees in orthognathic case approximately ¥600,000 – ¥1400,000 depending on orthodontic office.
